Bodegas San Alejandro

Bodegas San Alejandro is a cooperative winery established in 1962, located in Miedes, Calatayud, Aragón. With 350 members and 1,100 hectares of vineyards, the winery is named after Saint Alexander, whose relics rest in the 17th-century Mudejar-style Franciscan Convent in the same town.

The vineyards, among the highest in Europe, benefit from a rigorous climate and varied soils—limestone, red clay, and rocky terrain. These conditions foster the production of high-quality wines, with Garnacha as the signature grape, making it the cornerstone of the Calatayud Designation of Origin.

With a unique terroir and high-altitude vineyards, Bodegas San Alejandro delivers low-yield yet premium-quality wines, balancing acidity and alcohol perfectly. Known for exceptional aging potential, the winery employs sustainable, eco-friendly practices to ensure environmental stewardship while crafting outstanding vintages.
